Our annual meeting brings together endocrinologists with surgeons with an interest in endocrine pathology. The attendance has returned to pre- COVID levels with over 230 delegates attending in person or remotely. This year’s international guest lecturer was Prof Herb Chen from the University of Alabama, Birmingham who lectured with acclaim on “Hyperparathyroidism, The Forgotten disease”. His delegation of 6 surgeons also spent a weeks in the department discussing clinical and academic practice.
Previous lecturers have included Prof Ian Hay (Mayo Clinic), Prof Jean- Francios Henry (Marseille), Prof Wiebke Arlt (Birmingham & now Imperial College), Prof Peter Stalberg (Upsala), Prof Martin Walz (Essen), Mr David Scott-Coombes (Cardiff), Prof Antonio Sitges Serra (Barcelona), Prof Frederic Sebag (Marseille), Prof Francios Pattou (Lille), Prof Zyg Krukowski (Aberdeen), Anders Bergenfeltz (Lund), Prof Nelly Pitteloud (Lausanne) and Prof Jan Zedenius (Karolinska Institue, Stokholm) amongst others.
